| | Model of the car: | Subaru Outback | | | General comments: | New models are bound to have problems. My 96 Honda Civic (1st year of new style) was recalled 11 times for various issues. So much for Honda reliability!!!The 2000 OB was a new model and probably had a few bugs as well.
I have 5000 miles on my 2002 OB without incident.
Being in distribution, I hear complaints from customers all the time. Most problems are caused by misuse. A customer will break an item and then insist on replacement. If you don't replace, you are the bad guy. The complaints I see posted here are identical to the ones in my business. It's like a broken record!!!
These few just want to vent their anger at a particular Subaru dealership. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | I would have to stretch: seats are a bit hard, tan interior gets dirty easily, factory leather option on base model would be nice, not much else to complain about. | | | Previous car: | 2000 OB - good car, 2001 Forester - good car, 1996 Mountaineer - fair car. |
